On Tuesday, June 16, 2015, amfAR will hold its sixth annual Inspiration Gala New York at Spring Studios, honoring Miley Cyrus and Andy Cohen for their longtime support towards the fight against AIDS.
Hosted by Anderson Cooper, the black-tie gala will also feature an auction of exquisite items, a sensational menswear runway show, and unforgettable live entertainment. The theme of this year’s fashion show and auction is “Street Art/Street Fashion”.
Cyrus has continued to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS through her support of amfAR, the M·A·C AIDS Fund, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the Elton John AIDS Foundation. She is currently the spokesperson for M·A·C Cosmetics’ VIVAGLAM campaign, where every cent of the lip products go towards the M·A·C AIDS Fund helping people globally affected by the disease. This year, Miley is focusing her efforts with the M·A·C AIDS Fund on raising awareness and ending the HIV/AIDS stigma, particularly around marginalized youth. Since its inception, the M·A·C AIDS Fund has raised more than $380 million dollars. Miley recently launched her Happy Hippie Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to rallying young people to fight the injustices faced by homeless youth, LGBT youth, and other vulnerable populations.
